- SAFETY
The safety of each and every student is the top priority of Ocean Blue Education. With a combined 40 years of experience, we are proud of our ability to safely and comfortably introduce students to the marine world. All of our instructors are certified in CPR, First Aid, and Lifesaving with waterfront training. We stress the importance of safety to our students, as well as the responsibilities that come with sailing and diving.

Our vessels, The Morning Star, and Peles Rave are built with SOLAS requirements and are in compliance with all the Coast Guard required life saving equipment and regulations. The crew continually trains for emergencies, and is prepared to handle any situation in and out of the water.

Our crew far exceeds the USCG regulations for a passenger vessel with four USCG captains licensed crew and three rescue divers on board. Once on board all students are briefed on emergency procedures and first aid locations. Our vessels will always be in contact with emergency services through VHF radio, Cellular World Phone, and a Satellite Phone.

Keeping our students safe and healthy is our number one concern. A sick student is an unhappy student. Every day, students will enjoy three meals prepared by our chef with the help from the kitchen crew of the day. Snacks will also be provided in between meals to ensure good health and high energy. Our program also incorporates time for adequate sleep, proper hydration, and sun safety so that students are prepared for each adventure.
